March Is Endometriosis Awareness Month... Dr. Delhomme Discusses

March 18, 2025

March is National Endometriosis Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about the chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it.

Endometriosis is a condition affecting a woman’s uterus – the place where a baby grows when a woman is pregnant. The growth of the tissue outside of the uterus can cause pain, infertility and heavy periods. Endometriosis may affect more than 11% of American women between 15 and 44 and can develop in any girl or woman who has a menstrual cycle.

Women with endometriosis may experience a variety of symptoms which may include heavy/painful menstrual cycles that worsen over time, pain in the intestine or lower abdomen, bleeding or spotting between menstrual periods and stomach (digestive) problems especially during menstrual periods.

“If you are experiencing any of these symptoms” says Dr. Damian Delhomme, OB/GYN, “talk with your OB/GYN.”

Randy is a loyal employee who shows pride in all of his work at IMC. He is always ready to help others, and is eager to do the right thing. Randy has a kind heart, and it not only shows in his work, but in his actions towards his coworkers. He is someone who we can call when we have an emergency cleanup and he shows up with a smile.

Randy shows ownership in his job duties at IMC. He is professional with staff and the public, as well as his leaders. He is respectful to all people he encounters. He manages up when possible, as he does not want anyone having anything negative to say about our department. His service is his commitment to his work, as we are a service department. Excellence is what he shows in his work, as he has tried to assist our department when we are short staffed.

The PROMISE Award is designed to honor the exceptional contributions of our non-clinical staff members who play a crucial role to ensure the optimal functionality of our healthcare facility. Whether it is through administrative support, hospitality services, or any other non-clinical role, this award celebrates individuals who exemplify the core values of our organization and contribute to the overall success of our team.
